N my heart starts pounding...

You know that feeling you get when you're in the presence of a certain someone who makes you giggle on the inside and out? When (despite your better judgment) you can't help but think about that someone day and night and even pray for a sweet dream that includes him when you close your eyes in slumberland? When you see him from afar and try so hard to look away for fear of looking desperate; but you can't help it and you just have to get a good long look at him, as though you will never see him again tomorrow? Your heart starts pounding frantically against your chest and you know what's coming next. You're about to fall so hard, head over heels in love.

I don't believe in love at first sight. I might claim to be a hopeless romantic but honestly, how can you even suggest that it's true love after having seen just a glance of someone? It's only infatuation. N the symtoms above are merely side effects from this infatuation-bug. So I admit, while I might not be quite as crazy "in love" just yet, I'm getting dangerously close. Even with my eyes wide open, seeing that this could not possibly have a fairytale ending; I'm falling - FAST! And I'm not even sure why this guy. Why HIM? My heart just has a way of toying with my feelings.

And I tried to walk away. N was almost successful. I had almost convinced myself to head to the nearest exit. But then I see him again. And as he stands up close to me and I'm looking straight into his eyes, my mind goes blank and my heart starts pounding. So hard that for a moment I lose my breath, but then I wake up to reality and tell myself to breathe. And it's just like any other day. We turn to go our separate ways. He doesn't care, he doesn't know. And I'd like to keep it like that. Maybe then I will not fall again. Maybe this time, I wouldn't have to hit rock bottom.

Boarding the Long Catch-Up Train -Part 1

Hello World!!

I know.. I know.. I'm sorry for not writing for so long. My bloggie is practically dead now, but no one was harmed in the process right? ;) Anyway, having missed so many moments that have passed so far, I'm going to board the long catch-up train and try my best to illustrate what's been going on in my dull, boring little life. (Feel free to disagree that my life is boring) ;)

First of all, this happened pretty long ago when it was still the end of cny. Finally!! A School gathering. Thank you Shien Ni for organizing it, for volounteering your house, and for being a great host. Special commendation too to your mother and sister. The food was pretty good too! I mean, it looked good. SOrry I couldn't try everything, I had dimsum breakfast at 11am. ;)

But it was so awesome to meet up with the ppl from SMKBUD2 again. Well, not everyone was there but many of us were, and we had a nice bonding time. ;) With the careful exception of when everyone went gambling (I'm a serious NO gambling person), only 3 of us were left sitting around the sofa watching mtv and chit-chatting. :) Oh, and we did take group pics too. Huai Poh had a nice EXPENSIVE camera to do that job!! ;)

Oh!!! mY birthday.. Well ok, so I might not REALLY have a birthday this year.. Being born on the 29th Feb and all isn't exactly fun or unique; it's like I have to decide every year if I want to have it in March or February; and I can't begin to count how many ppl I've met who repeatedly tease me about my age. But that's all ok! After years and years of it, I think I've more or less accepted that I'm born on a special day, and how many ppl can say that? ;) hehe Anyway, the 28th of February was just the day before my bio test, and mind you, I've not been doing so well in bio lately. It's saddening as I like the subject; but yea, the surprise quizzes really took me by surprise, and the rest as we say, is history.

So I decided not to throw a party, in a way, I was kinda lazy to do so too. ;) I just wanted a cake, which I also, in the end decided not to have because no way was I going to finish a cake all by myself. Imagine the pounds I'll put on!! So I just received many bday wishes, on facebook and thru sms. That was fine with me. :) I was considerably happy. haha But then, imagine my surprise when my dear darling college buddies ( a few of them) namely: Jannah Lam, Kevin, Chung Kit, Judith, Shafira, Camille, Nicholas, Yoo Jin and Dexter surprised me with a "SURPRISE" happy-birthday-to-you "party" at the rooftop of Sunway college. Yea, I would''ve suspected something, what with all my friends acting all weird the whole day but for some reason that still blurs me now; I could not guess what was going on when Judith and Camille kept giving silly excuses for going up to the rooftop. Perhaps my mind was distracted. I WAS supposed to be going for drama practice and dance practice. But then as the excuses got more and more ridiculous, I suppose I suspected something was up. But then, it wouldn't be a success if I didn't look surprised, would it? ;)

Thank you guys for the cake. N happy birthday to Mr Q too!! His bday was on the 1st of March and we shared the bday cake. :) Ermm so I think that's it for February. Oh, and did I mention that I got 24 out of 25 for my bio test? The studying paid off!! haha Yay!!!! :)

Doesn't that mean I'm not as good as that someone else?
Choices determine the person we are, and what kind of relationship we would have with the people we choose.

So... CNY holidays are almost over.. Which means that school (ie. College) is about to restart again. OMG thinking about all the upcoming tests and work drives me crazy.. :( ANyway, let's talk about the one week holiday so far. ;)

On WED>... I had some college buddies over to my house for Karaoke!!! Yes, my house has a karaoke set. Yet another excuse for my mum to use to get me to bring my friends home so that she can meet them.. Naughty ingenious plan. haha It seems to work!! ;)

We had an awesome time.. SInging in our off-pitched keys and screaming at the top of our voices. ;) Even my parents laughed at us, and mind you, my mum can't sing. ;) SHe's tone deaf. ;) I think my poor dog might be a little deAF now too. ;) But oh well, we had a blast. One thing I learnt about us though, is that we all can't rap. ;) yea, gotta keep that in mind. haha oh yea, before I forget, gotta at least mention the ppl who brought the little gathering to life. Thank you fellow attendees Judith Anthony, Jannah Lam, Nicholas Siew, Wing Yew and Kevin Tey. :) Yoo Jin (my dear korean friend) should've been there too.. :(

Nevertheless, steamboat lunch was great too and very delicious if I might add. Maybe it's the company. I never have this much fun steamboat-ing with my relatives.. AHem, no offence. ;) N the crazy picture taking time. That was another highlight of the day. WE felt like movie stars, posing for the numerous cameras brought of course, courtesy of yours truly: moi, Jannah Lam and Kevin. :) Smiled until my jaw ached, I gotta admit. ;)

ANd rushed to the movies. Original plan didn't turn out though, we couldn't get the tickets to Valentines Day that I already pre-booked, mind you!! But never fear, a little detour to Tropicana City mall and we were off to watch Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. I've never read the book, although I have the hard copy in my home ;) The movie was predictable, the plot was a typical fantasy story plot. But it was good. ;) The actor, Logan Lerman is sooooooo cute!! ;) And he's my age. ;) 18 this year, to be exact. :)

Unfortunately, because there were so many ppl at the cinema, we had to be split. Judith ditched us to go swimming with her other friends, haha so that left us 5 plus Scott Lim (another late comer to the little gathering) in the cinema. We had to be split though. 3 of us on one side, and the other 3 on the other. A couple sat in between us. :/ We were almost gonna shoo them away and take their seats. ;) so the movie was great to me, at least and we had fun. :)

Nicholas will be having an open house next, tomorrow actually. I have a course to attend. Haihz.. :( Leave it to my dad to send me off to a leadership, self improvement (I don't even know what course it is after attending 3 sessions of it ;) ) training course on CNY!!! I hope I can make it to the open house. :( Outta be fun. :) will be counting ang paus soon though, although it won't take long; seeing that I wouldn't have many. :(

Post Valentines woes and CNY joy!! ;)

Owhkay... So I'm GUILTY for NOT writing for sooooo long. But in my defense, I wanted to. Only my stupid internet wouldn't allow me to display this page. :(

So... Valentine's was pretty quiet. There wasn't really much to do, except stay home and watch television; an idea, which I realized is actually quite effective for a single girl moping around on Valentine's Day. haha Ok, just to clear the air; I'm NOT that pathetic. ;) If I wanted a date, I'd be able to get one. Only... what's the point if you don't like the guy for real? It's gonna be hard to compete with my last year's Valentines. My boyfriend then, (now EX-boyfriend) surprised me with a large bouquet of flowers, a nice romantic dinner for 2 and last but not least, a Sony EricssonW595 handphone!!! ;) Those were the days... Oh well, nothing lasts forever and I sincerely hope there's no bad blood between us. Honestly, for his sake, I hope he had a fantastic Valentine's this year. He deserves at least that much. :)

Anyway... Moving on to Chinese New Year!!! This year, I don't really feel the cny atmosphere. :( There is no "Hurray!! It's Chinese New Year!!!" kinda feeling, Instead, at best, only a "Owh... It's Chinese New Year. Yay for one week holiday!" feeling lingers in my head. The only thing fun about it so far is that I've been getting ang paus. (Those tiny little red packets always make me smile. :) ) hehe And.. I've been eating like crazy. Foodstuff that I would never usually be caught dead eating; I now find myself feasting upon them. ;) Pineapple tarts, smiley cookies, chocolate chip cookies, crackers, muruku, dried meat(dunno what to call it in English) and lotsa jelly, oranges and packet drinks. OMG Even listing them out like that scares me. I think if I stepped onto the weighing scale now, it would break under the tremendous weight. :( Haihz... I hear a diet coming up.

OOh ok, I think I've spent enought time writing on this blog which I think no one actually reads. ;) & I've got an English essay due. Sooo... Till the next time I write,

Stress :(

Stress! Stress! Stress!

OMG there always seem to be sooo much work and so little time. If only I had more than 24 hours in a day.. That'll be fantastic.. Got an English presentation later and I'm not really ready yet!! Argh!! And have some biology work that's due later which I am only now halfway doing. :(

Day 1 into having a BLOG. ;)

B-O-R-I-N-G...

Am sitting in the library now staring at the com screen. As usual, it's just my luck that I must always get the timetable that is most different from my friends. That's the story of my life. :(

Anyway, the word around is that there might be a biology quiz later and I haven't really started revising/studying yet. OMG!!! I'm gonna have to do it later. Right now, I'm a wee bit too occupied. ;) Well, owhkay, so maybe I'm doing some not-so-useful stuff right now, but a girl's gotta take a break too right? (Although it's only early in the morning now) ;)

Plus, I'm busy finishing up my English project work. Got a presentation tmrw. Hopefully all turns out well. :)
